The World Ski Championships being held in Méribel and Courchevel will take place between 6-19 February 2023. World ski championships in a few numbers : 12 days, 6 disciplines, 54 medals, 75 nations, 600 racers.

Finally… The white stuff has arrived. Finally... All the fun of the mountains. Finally… Those long-awaited moments with family and friends and the much-deserved end-of-year break. And you can choose between a huge choice of activities – skiing or snowboarding come first. Here are 5 things you’re going to love in Courchevel and the 3 Valleys this December!

"The snow is too soft! That's true, but only from mid-day onwards, and there are a lot of advantages that we don't think about: everything becomes softer: temperatures, snow, prices... That it's the best time to ski without pressure, "à la cool". With a bit of skiing in the morning, a terrace at lunchtime in the Courchevel heights and lazy afternoons with your girlfriends. It's the perfect time to start skiing!

Courchevel, a ski paradise for all in the infinite 3 Vallées ski area. A ski area linked to 7 resorts, each with its own special features: from the mountain landscape, with its high-altitude ambience at 3000m, to the spruce forests through which wind the lively pistes. Here, the choice of possibilities is immense, to suit all profiles, levels and desires.

Inaugurated for the Albertville Olympic Games in 1992, these ski jumps are now used by many great athletes every year!

Dominating the valley of Méribel by its height and its pyramidal shape, the Mont-Vallon is an unmissable summit of the 3 Valleys. In a wild and preserved setting, it imposes itself on the bottom of the valley and yet remains easily accessible thanks to the ski lifts. Up there, the panorama offers a plunging view on the biggest glacier of the 3 Valleys and you can do excellent skiing on the two long red runs.

Courchevel is far from being a beginners-only resor - quite the opposite, in fact! Although the runs into the villages are relatively gentle, the mountains rise steeply slightly further up. And it’s Courchevel that is home to the highest number of black runs in the 3 Valleys (12 in total) - to the great delight of thrill-seeking skiers and snowboarders!

They each make a unique contribution to the beating heart of our ski area, are passionate about their unusual professions and spend their working days in challenging and often male-dominated environments. Piste security, slope maintenance, freeride skier… you won’t always encounter them when you’re out and about on your skis, so here we proudly present some of the women behind the scenes in our ski area!
