Heading to the slopes, stress-free!

Our team: dedicated to guaranteeing your safety

Well-groomed pistes all winter long

As soon as night falls, the piste maintenance team hits the slopes! Our 47 Courchevel piste-bashers roam the ski slopes, smoothing the snow to perfection: they work hard to pack down and revitalise the snow to guarantee perfect sliding conditions. It's even said that Courchevel is home to the very best groomed pistes... but we’ll let your skis be the judge of that!

Ski patrols at your service

As our night-time superheroes head to bed, our team of daytime pros wakes up! Guardians of the mountains in daylight hours, our 55 Courchevel ski patrollers are there to watch over you as you spend your day on the slopes. Every day, the team on the mountain keeps the slopes safe, watches over the ski area and comes to the rescue at top speed if anything goes wrong. Experts in safety and mountain rescue, they react in a flash, anywhere in resort!

Did you know? The profession of ski patroller began in Courchevel!

Our ski lift team help you reach the summits

Our ski lift teams are also there for you, ensuring everything runs smoothly and intervening when necessary. If the draglift or chairlift are giving you problems, don’t panic! Our lifties are there to give you a hand. And our team is also out and about in resort to make sure your experience is top notch at every turn!

Top tips for stress-free skiing

Before you dash off into the 3 Vallées, check that your kit is ready for action: skis, bindings, boots, and above all, your helmet! A little warm up and a walk, and you’re ready to hit the slopes in confidence!

On the pistes, follow the rules for maximum enjoyment and minimum worry:

  • Control your speed and keep a safe distance
  • Respect the priority rule: the skier below has right of way
  • Stay visible: avoid stopping in hard-to-see or busy places
  • Respect others and follow the signage
  • In case of an accident, stay calm, report the accident and get to the side of the piste

After a busy day on the mountain, take a break. Rehydrate, do some stretching to avoid aches, and get some rest to be on top form the next day!

Looking for more advice? Chat to our ski patrollers on the slopes, or in the rescue huts. These professionals are there to help you and ensure you get the best from your ski experience, according to the weather and your ability level.
