They each make a unique contribution to the beating heart of our ski area, are passionate about their unusual professions and spend their working days in challenging and often male-dominated environments. Piste security, slope maintenance, freeride skier… you won’t always encounter them when you’re out and about on your skis, so here we proudly present some of the women behind the scenes in our ski area!

Through the eyes of Maxime, a ranger at the Parc National de la Vanoise and S3V employee, discover the well-kept secrets of wildlife, the incredible characteristics of local fauna and the best spots to see who you're sharing the mountain with.

Antoine, a paraplegic groomer, joined S3V 5 years ago, and we often see him walk past our offices on his days off, heading for the slopes with stars in his eyes. In the midst of the Paralympics, we wanted to ask him a few questions. Meet Antoine, a profound optimist, inspiring and above all inspired to achieve his dreams and share them with all those who also have a craving for the mountains.

Magali arrives at our offices at the end of the day, wrapped up in the numerous jackets which give her the air of an arctic explorer. Maggie (one of her 200 nicknames, she confides), is a courageous and wise mountaineer, who explores the 3 Valleys and the wider Vanoise by ski touring, or even with her skis strapped onto her backpack for steeper ascents. In the summer, the skis are packed away but she carries on with the climbing.
