In our opinion, as well as being the highest via ferrata in France, it is without doubt one of the most beautiful. With a route that's neither too simple nor too complicated, neither too short nor too long, and with incredible views, it takes us far, far away.
You can do it on your own with the right equipment, or with the Courchevel-Méribel guide bureau.
To get there, take the lifts from Courchevel or Méribel-Mottaret.
On the program: turquoise lakes, 1,000 shades of flora, incredible fauna, little balcony or ridge trails... We assure you, you're in for a real treat.
The Dent du Villard then the crests of Mont Charvet - Departure from Lac de la Rosière, Courchevel What we love: the 360° view and the dolines at the summit. One of the most beautiful hikes in the area.
Les Lacs Merlets - Leaving from Courchevel 1650 What we like: The neon green color of the mountain pastures, the diversity of landscapes and flora. You can also cool off in the upper lake (only for the most adventurous among you 😉 ). Lacs Mont Coua - Leaving from Méribel-Mottaret What we like: the entire trail is located in the heart of the National Park, so nature is 100% preserved. We also love the 5 lakes, especially the last one, which looks like Patagonia. Keep your eyes peeled for golden eagles (near the Saut refuge).
You probably know the 3 Vallées ski area like the back of your hand in winter. But have you ever hit the slopes in summer?
The ridges from Tougnete | ENDURO or DH Why we love it: it's the most beautiful mountain bike trail. You can choose between two alternatives for the descent: return to Méribel or extend your discovery by heading towards the village of Les Allues, on the sublime single-track passing by the Grand Lac.
The Col de la Loze loop | VAE or ROAD You've probably already heard of it: the Col de la Loze is now one of the Tour de France's legendary finishes. Why we love it: the route is reserved exclusively for bikes and winds through the mountain pastures.
