Forget the heavy coats and enjoy slopes that are much quieter than in February. The snow remains perfect, often still groomed in the middle of the day, for smooth and stress-free runs.
The days are longer, and the lifts stay open until 5 PM: take your time, savor every turn, and pause your day whenever you like.
Start your day on perfect slopes. In the morning, the runs are smooth and nearly empty—ideal for enjoying the heights to the fullest. With 85% of the ski area above 1,800 m, it’s the perfect time to explore Les 3 Vallées and savor every turn.
Where to ski? The top areas to explore include La Saulire in Courchevel, La Cime Caron in Val Thorens, Le Mont Vallon in Méribel, or Orelle, for pristine snow and that unique high-altitude atmosphere.
Prepare your sun break. Bring a bag with water, sunscreen, and sunglasses to enjoy the midday terrace. Leave enough space to shed layers if the sun warms up more than expected, so you can fully relax.
April is the perfect time to enjoy the terraces of mountain restaurants at their best. Here are a few must-visit spots:

With heels free and feet strapped in, climbing, skirting crevasses, surprising chamois, or admiring the mountains from above… why not try new disciplines? Here are 3 activities to try.
April is the perfect time to start ski touring: avalanche risk is moderate (around 2/5), the snow is slightly softened on the surface—easier to ski than deep powder—and the sun-drenched, pristine landscapes make for an exceptional setting.
Even though the mountains are never without risk, a instructor or guide will allow you to enjoy the experience safely and fully. Why not venture to the crevasses of the Gebroulaz glacier, the largest in Les 3 Vallées, above Méribel?

Learning to snowboard means accepting that you’ll fall… and loving it! April’s soft snow makes it perfect for your first turns without stress. Easier to carve, fewer surprises from icy patches—it’s the ideal moment to take on this new challenge and feel completely new sensations on the slopes.
Take off your skis to soar in a paraglider: feet leave the ground, the wind whistles through the lines, and the mountains unfold beneath you. Fly over snowy landscapes, feel your heart lift, and treat yourself to this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Launch from the Col de la Loze or Saulire, and land wherever you wish—Courchevel or Méribel.
