The summit of Saulire: a mythical peak in the heart of the 3 Valleys

Whether you're a regular visitor to the 3 Vallées or have always dreamed of skiing there, the summit of Saulire is probably no stranger to you. At an altitude of 2,740 metres, this majestic peak is a must-see for all snow sports fans.

Its breathtaking panoramas and the diversity of its ski slopes have made it an iconic spot over the last few decades. Suitable for all levels, the summit of Saulire is also a key link between Courchevel and Méribel, making access to the 3 Vallées even easier.

Whether you're a beginner or a pro on the mountain, Saulire has pistes to make you smile! This iconic area is a real playground for all levels.

If you enjoy a more leisurely descent, the blue runs are perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. For the more adventurous, the red and black runs await you for thrills and challenges. Whatever your level, you'll find plenty of ways to have a fun and memorable days on the snow!

Don't miss out on any of the must-sees:

  • The famous Combe de la Saulire piste, a red run with magnificent views, offering unrivalled skiing in the heart of the Courchevel Valley.
  • The Creux piste, a perfect blue run for a gentler descent towards Courchevel Moriond. Enjoy its peaceful, natural setting all the way down.
  • Grand Couloir, a challenging black run, the most steep black piste in the 3 Vallées, with gradients of up to 85%.

(Re)discover the Saulire cable car

There are several ways to reach the summit of the Saulire, and each one has its own unique charm! You can take the Pas du Lac cable car from Méribel Mottaret or choose the Saulire Express cable car from Méribel La Chaudanne. But the real emblem of this climb is, without doubt, the Saulire cable car, making its comeback this winter!

After more than 70 years, the cable car having a makeover to offer you an even more immersive and comfortable experience. With its new all-glass gondolas, get ready for an exceptional adventure:

  • A suspended ride: over 70 metres above the snow!
  • 360° panoramic view: plunge into a snow-covered landscape, surrounded by the Vanoise glaciers and the majestic Mont Blanc massif. It's an experience not to be missed!

This journey starts at an altitude of 2077 metres and takes you up to an altitude of 2710 metres, where the whole 3 Vallées universe and beyond spreads out before you. In just a few minutes, you'll have access to the largest ski area in the world, promising spectacular descents at every turn.
