February is definitely the best time to go skiing, even if it can sometimes feel like you're in the middle of a crowd of skiers. Magali arrives at our offices at the end of the day, wrapped up in the numerous jackets which give her the air of an arctic explorer. Maggie (one of her 200 nicknames, she confides), is a courageous and wise mountaineer, who explores the 3 Valleys and the wider Vanoise by ski touring, or even with her skis strapped onto her backpack for steeper ascents. In the summer, the skis are packed away but she carries on with the climbing.
